The Field Service Engineer is responsible for customer satisfaction in all aspects of the job. Increased throughput, decreased downtime, regular Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades as deemed by Beckman Coulter technical staff. A clear advocate for the customer (internal and external) and a steward for the company.

This position reports to the District Service Manager and is part of the Life Sciences Service Organization. This position will work remotely to cover all New England, upstate New York as well as Quebec, a portion of Ontario, and Maritimes.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Servicing Beckman Coulter products at the customer facility.

• Cultivating customer relationships and supporting commercial initiatives.

• Driving a sense of urgency to ensure the customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on a “first time fix” through the problem-solving process.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, life science OR equivalent military experience (working on any mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic or any related instruments).

1+ year's experience problem solving, diagnosing, or troubleshooting challenges with instrumentation using a variety of methods.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• This position requires up to 70% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

• This position requires the ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
