This is a remote position.IT Operations Specialist Company: KonnectHub Position Type: Part-Time | Independent Contractor | Remote Role Overview KonnectHub is seeking a reliable and proactive IT Operations Specialist to manage and maintain the company’s internal IT systems, collaboration platforms, and user access environment.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the company's technology infrastructure. The IT Operations Specialist will be responsible for maintaining productivity tools, supporting internal users, and ensuring that system access, security protocols, and operational procedures are consistently followed across the organization.

The role requires hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint governance, SaaS platform administration, system security, and IT support for distributed teams. The IT Operations Specialist will collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure that employees have reliable access to systems and tools required to perform their roles effectively.

Because KonnectHub operates in a remote-first work environment, the ideal candidate must be comfortable supporting remote employees, troubleshooting technical issues virtually, and maintaining strong documentation practices to ensure operational continuity.

The IT Operations Specialist will also contribute to automation initiatives, security improvements, and IT governance processes, helping the organization maintain high standards of data protection, operational reliability, and technology performance.

Key Responsibilities IT Systems Administration Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange.

Responsibilities include:

Managing user accounts, licensing, and subscription allocations

Maintaining Teams channels, collaboration groups, and security groups

Configuring SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and permissions

Monitoring system performance and service health dashboards

Managing email policies, spam filtering, and domain configurations

Maintaining role-based access policies for internal collaboration tools

The IT Operations Specialist will also ensure that productivity tools remain reliable and accessible to all employees, supporting both operational workflows and communication across teams.

Additional responsibilities include supporting integrations between SaaS platforms used within the organization and ensuring that system configurations remain optimized for performance and security.

User Lifecycle & Access Management The IT Operations Specialist will oversee the entire employee technology lifecycle, ensuring proper system access and permissions are maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities include:

Managing IT onboarding processes for new hires

Provisioning accounts and assigning appropriate system access

Managing role-based permissions and system groups

Updating access levels when employees change roles or responsibilities

Executing secure offboarding procedures when employees leave the organization

The role also includes administering access across multiple platforms, including:

Microsoft 365

Zoho People

Zoho Recruit

Zoho CRM

Zoho Mail

Zoho Flow

Internal portals and company systems

Maintaining accurate documentation and centralized access masterlists is a key responsibility to ensure transparency and security across all systems.

IT Support & Troubleshooting Provide Tier 1–2 IT support for employees across the organization.
